ALTAR GUILD - CHAPEL 7:45 AM SERVICE

The members of the Altar Guild make a difference by serving the worship life of our congregation.  They prepare the altar and worship space for each worship service.  At the 7:45
AM Chapel service, the Altar Guild Person of the Day also functions as Greeter. To make a difference as an Altar Guild memberserving the 7:45 AM service, please contact either Laurel Rizotto at laurel.caryn@mac.com.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH SCHOOL FACULTY

We offer educational opportunities for our parish’s children ages 5 through 6th grade each Sunday morning from 9:30 until the start of Holy Communion in the
10:30 worship service.  You can play a role in supporting the spiritual development of our children by helping with crafts, games, snacks, music,

COFFEE HOUR HOST

All of the families of our congregation take turns hosting &
the weekly “Coffee Hour” ( time of conversation, coffee, and refreshments) following the 10:30 worship service.  This is one of the ways we express “intentional hospitality,” a core value of our parish community.  To make a difference through the intentional hospitality expressed in preparing & hosting a Coffee Hour, please contact Barbara Wine at  bwine@mymailstation.com


GREETERS FOR THE 10:30 SERVICE

No one enjoys entering a strange, unfamiliar church and have the experience of being ignored, of having no one welcome you.  The role of Greeter is one of the most important ministries of our church because it supports both the growth of our parish and the

LAY READERS - CHAPEL & CHURCH

Lay Readers read the Scripture lessons each Sunday during the worship servic
e.  The lessons are usually sent by email each week prior to the Sunday in which they well be read.  This position is open to adults, teens, and any child with sufficient maturity and ability.  To make a difference by reading the Holy Scriptures during our congregation’s worship, please contact Lisa Dawson at lc3g@aol.com.

LOCAL EFFORTS:

MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY DONATING FOOD EACH WEEK FOR THE POOR AND HUNGRY

Did you know that St Luke's accepts non-perishable food donations for local food banks on an ongoing
?  If  would like to contribute, please deposit your food donations in the the little red wagon located in the church narthex next to the doors leading into the sanctuary.  Each week, the children of St Luke's will bring the food donations to the altar as an offering to God and God's work in the world.  And from there, the food donations will be distributed to local food banks.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY SUPPORTING THE NEEDS OF PEACE HOUSE - THE LOCAL SHELTER FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Peace House is a safe home in Park City for abused women and children.  Each week St. Luke's Marilyn Heinrich
will be calling the Donations Coordinator, Kathy Churilla (649-6823), to get a list of the current needs of the Peace House residents.

This week the needs include:

Conditioner

Olive Oil

Double AA and AAA Batteries

Baby Powder

Garbage Bags

Paper Towels

Toilet Paper


Please bring your donations to church or you can take them directly to the Peace House office at 1960 Sidewinder Drive, across from the old liquor store.

NATIONAL EFFORTS:

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF KATRINA SURVIVORS:

Each year St. Luke’s sends a team of volunteers to work for a week helping to rebuild
homes of the survivors of hurricane Katrina.  You need no special construction skills to participate.  You will be taught how to do whatever needs to be done.  All you need is a desire to give a week of your time
